I could bench press a small ranch home, if the weight was evenly distributed. One day I decided to skip practice and go to the gym with some friends instead. I took a spin class. I got my butt KICKED. I am not easily discouraged. I kept going back, and got a little better (thankfully). Summer rolled around and I decided to do a triathlon, after all, I had 2 of the three nailed! I was first in the swim, way ahead in the bike, and then the run...... it was like being chased by hungry wolves, and they definitely caught me. I couldn't get much faster in the water, so I trained and trained on the bike. It was so
I thought bike racing was like swimming. Sure, you are on a "team" but what does that even mean? You wear the same warm-ups? BUT NO! there was tactics and skill and game plans, and attacks, and counters and chasing and THINKING and aggression. Not "fist flailing aggression" like in water polo... but,"If you don't move you are going to get a 40 mile an hour road rash aggression" (someone actually told me that once).
What more is there to love?
Oh, I also enjoy food.
